Make Your Own Organic Popcorn, Better Than The Microwaved Kind!

Let’s face it – when we think of movies, one of the very first things that come to our mind is delicious, buttery popcorn! In fact, popcorn has become single-handedly associated with the movies, and it’s hard to pry away from that connection given that we have grown up with it our entire lives! However, the sad part is that it’s only going to get more and more expensive at movie theatres!

So, failing that, we can buy popcorn and make it in our own home. Of course, if you’re a health nut, the big problem is all the preservatives and chemicals being added for preservation and flavour enhancement. I’m almost scared to think about how they could be affecting me!

In search for a healthier alternative, I found this way to make your own popcorn organically and naturally! Instead of buying packets of popcorn, you can buy the kernels in bulk and have MONTHS worth of popcorn! Let me know how tasty this recipe ended up being for you guys!

Ingredients: A quarter cup of kernels, 2 tablespoons of butter, and salt to your own liking

Directions: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the kernels and place a microwave-safe plate over the bowl. Place the butter on top of the plate so that it can melt at the same time that the kernels are popping! Microwave both the plate and the bowl for 3 minutes, tip the butter from the plate into the bowl, and add as much salt as you like. Enjoy!
