This Piglet Almost DROWNED Before She Got Rescued Just In Time!

I never really knew whether or not pigs could swim. If I had to take a blank guess, I would say that they have some limited movement depending on their experience with water, but probably not be very buoyant for long and eventually drown if they are unable to get or, OR if somebody manages to rescue them in time.

That’s what happened to one little pig who was found drowning in a well by Animal Aid Unlimited (India). It’s a good thing that the workers arrived when they did, because the pig would have died moments later if not for their arrival.

Thinking fast and under pressure, one of the workers descended down the city swell and picked up the pig, while another worker pulled the two back up to land. You’ll see this incredible rescue in the video footage below, and the pig felt better right away!

Since 2002, the organization has made it their primary mission to save stray animals (and domestic pets) from these awful scenarios that are often exacerbated by poor living conditions in India: “Our ultimate goal is equality and protection of all animals and a complete end to the use and abuse of animals. We are working for the day that every dog, donkey, cow, pig, fish, and mouse can live their lives in freedom”
